Biography
Ildar Kolesyanov is an internationally recognized choreographer and ballet coach specializing in rhythmic gymnastics. With over 25 years of teaching experience, including 7 years at the Academy of Ballet of Uzbekistan, Ildar has dedicated his career to the art of movement. Having spent more than 15 years in rhythmic gymnastics, he specializes in ballet training and creating choreography for dance steps and routines. His work also includes published articles and methodological books for choreographic institutions. He has served as a judge at international gymnastics competitions and various dance contests, and has contributed as a choreographer, director, and producer in numerous sports and theater performances worldwide.
Professional Experience
For more than 15 years, he has shaped the artistry of the Uzbekistan National Team, creating routines for elite gymnasts such as Valeriya Davidova, Anastasiya Serdyukova, Djamila Rakhmatova, Tahmina Ikromova, Natalia Usova, Anastasia Saranseva and Oksana Chusovitina. He has also worked with the Malaysia National Team, choreographing for champions including Amy Kwan, Koi Sie Yan, and Ng Joe Ee, while co-authoring a study on coaching pedagogy in Malaysian rhythmic gymnastics. Known for blending Vaganova ballet principles with modern sport artistry, Kolesyanov’s choreography has appeared on the world stage at the Olympics, World Championships, Asian Games, and Commonwealth Games. Through his online platforms, he continues to share his expertise globally, inspiring the next generation of gymnasts.
